Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance

 ANZIIF’s Tier 1 in Insurance Broking is crafted to equip insurance brokers with essential interpersonal and communication skills, general insurance product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the needs of retail and wholesale clients. 

This qualification will satisfy ASIC’s Regulatory Guide146 (ASIC RG146) Tier 1 requirements for providing general and personal advice to broking clients.

It is made up of four skill units, with each unit being 5 weeks in duration. 




At the conclusion of this course, students will have gained:

  • well-developed interpersonal, communication and self-management skills
  • general insurance knowledge to perform a specialist advisory role in insurance broking
  • the ability to address the needs of both retail and wholesale clients.

Individuals who complete this pathway will obtain the skills and knowledge required to analyse a client’s insurance needs and provide advice ethically and professionally in compliance with industry regulations  and codes of practice.
