I have worked in the Australian insurance industry since 8 February 1993 and founded Business Insurance Specialists in 2003.
My philosophy is straightforward: we work for our clients, not insurance companies.
Over more than 33 years, I have worked across technical underwriting, SME broking, and the management of corporate and international insurance programmes. This experience has given me a practical understanding of how risks are assessed, negotiated, placed and managed when a claim occurs.
Today, my primary role is leading Business Insurance Specialists and supporting our team in delivering consistent, technically sound and commercially practical outcomes for our clients.
Insurance is a high-trust industry. The value of a brokerage is demonstrated through the quality of its advice, the strength of its processes and its willingness to advocate for clients—both before and after a claim occurs.
As the business has grown, my focus has increasingly moved from personally managing individual insurance programmes to developing our people, strengthening our systems and maintaining the service standards on which Business Insurance Specialists was built.
I remain involved in the oversight of significant, complex or unusual matters where my experience can assist our team and our clients.
