Tell me a little about yourself
I have a Ph.D and over 10 years of experience doing scientific research into the development of new pharmaceuticals. Part of my scientific research involved the study of stress and its impact on health. I became acutely aware that stress can have a massive negative impact on recovery from serious illness and injury. I started Stress Free Insurance from scratch offering personal insurance products to help people make sure that their finances are protected if something serious and unexpected happens to their health. This would enable them to focus on recovery without the stress of worrying about money. Most of my early clients were self-employed tradies, who regularly asked me to also cover their businesses, so I also became a general insurance broker.
What do you love about being an insurance broker?
I really enjoy meeting people, finding out about them and their businesses, and helping them to cover their risks.
Do you have a particular area of expertise? What led you there?
