We are looking for an Account Executive to support the SME team in the insurance division in Brisbane.

MKP is proud to have built a strong reputation in the market, particularly in the earthmoving and construction industries.  MKP has been operating for over 40 years and we have a national presence with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

Our insurance book is growing on the back of this reputation and the broader MKP client data base established through our finance business. Further business is generated through our referring partners such as equipment suppliers and accountants.  This approach with multiple relationships allows brokers to tailor to the strengths and explore new opportunities of interest.

We focus on strong client relationships, in many instances these relationships are multi-generational spanning multiple decades.  We build these relationships through sticking to our core values; delivering on what we say we are going to do, as well as providing quality advice through industry and product knowledge.  We recognize partnering with insurer’s enables us to deliver to clients, and so investing in these relationships are equally critical.

You will:
  • Manage renewals and retention of an existing SME portfolio
  • Write new business for both new clients and existing clients
  • Work with clients across the engineering & construction, energy, transport, manufacturing and mining industries
  • Negotiate and process renewals, new business and endorsements
  • Provide high level customer support to your clients and management
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders

About you:
  • Tier 1 qualified - Broking
  • Great attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism
  • A client centric approach
  • Highly motivated, looking for a challenging and rewarding position
  • You will have preferably worked across all general insurance product lines
  • You are well organised and can handle a volume heavy book
  • You can handle working under pressure and understand the importance of client servicing
  • You have a working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred - but not essential).
