We are looking for an individual to join an exceptionally high performing Team.

About the Business:
MGA Insurance Group Darwin is a locally owned and operated general insurance brokerage. We are a Team of six Territorians with significant experience across all facets of the insurance industry. We are part of the MGA Insurance Group which is one of the top 10 insurance brokerages in Australia with 38 offices throughout the country.
 
At MGA Darwin we have an in-depth knowledge of the unique insurance needs of the Top End and understand that claims outcomes are invariably tied to the quality of the insurance product. We pride ourselves on the long-term relationships we build with our customers, insurers and loss adjusters which enables us to provide peace of mind and protection at the best value.
 
As insurance brokers we provide a number of services to not only identify insurable risks, but to also mitigate and manage them, and if the worst happens - to manage claims to the highest service levels.
 
About the Role:
You will be working in a Team that is family orientated with a focus on providing tailored service to our customers with key duties being;
 
  • Process, quote, negotiate and advise on Strata Insurance Covers as new business, existing renewals and alterations
  • Strata Claims management, administration and mitigation strategies
  • Building and fostering strong, long-term customer relationships through face to face interactions
  • Internal and external communication to a wide network of Insurance professionals and stakeholders working closely with strata managers and self-managed body corporates, insurers, assessors and trades
 
The role is full time but permanent part time can also be discussed for the right candidate. Working from home is not available.

Critical Skills and Experience:
  • Tier 1 Broking qualification 
  • Minimum five years’ experience in the insurance industry
  • Basic knowledge of retail and/or SME commercial Insurance products
  • A strong customer focus and the ability to create rapport with customers
  • Ability to work effectively within a Team that is focussed on innovation 
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • You will be required to be versatile, prioritise well and adapt to constant change easily and readily
  • Sound knowledge of claims management processes
