With continued growth in our Victorian operations, we are seeking an experienced Broker to join our corporate team in Melbourne in this newly created role. Reporting to the Corporate Team Leader and with a shared administrative support resource.

Master Builders Insurance Brokers (MBIB) is a well established and rapidly growing national insurance broker specialising in the building and construction industry.  With a proven history of developing quality insurance brokers, we aim to create an environment where our people feel respected and engaged with the business, and where they are rewarded for outstanding work. 

 

This role includes:
  • Managing and growing an established portfolio of mid market and corporate clients, including renewals, endorsements and claims,
  • Introducing relevant risk management practices and insurance products to your clients,
  • Working as part of a team, including mentoring and training junior staff,
  • Working with the Corporate Team Leader and colleagues in preparing and presenting renewal proposals,
  • Maintaining and developing professional relationships with stakeholders,
  • Representing MBIB at industry and Master Builders Association events.

 

What you will bring:
  • Tier 1 Broking certificate (required),
  • Minimum of 3 years insurance broking experience, ideally with some exposure to construction insurance (not essential),
  • A strong client service focus with demonstrated delivery of excellent client outcomes,
  • Advanced communication skills,
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational ability,
  • A proven history of establishing and maintaining strong business relationships.

 

A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

As this position holds duties that require the successful candidate to attend the office, you will need to be willing and able to demonstrate evidence of being double dosed with an approved Covid-19 vaccination.

The successful candidates must be legally entitled to work in Australia in a permanent, ongoing capacity and will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check.
