What will you be doing?
  • Portfolio Management - Manage a portfolio of clients to ensure their insurance and risk management needs are fully met.
  • Business Development - Active development of a portfolio of business with a particular emphasis on profitable growth, providing professional standards and consistency of advice. This includes meeting with new business prospects.
  • Relationship Building - Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, specifically insurance markets and distribution partners.
  • Client Advice - Provide personalised advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance program needs, including explaining insurance policy conditions, risks covered, premium rates and benefits, making recommendations on the amount and type of cover and writing excellent reports.
  • Leadership - Mentor junior team members and work effectively with the team or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g. peers, Senior Managers) to accomplish organisational goals.
  • Claims - Ensure timely and, wherever possible, favourable settlement of claims by following up claims with the internal Claims Department or Insurer Claims Officer.

You will need the following experience and qualifications:
  • Tier 1 Qualification in Insurance Broking (or equivalent from overseas)
  • Minimum of 7 years of insurance broking experience, including working on Cyber and D&O corporate-size accounts
  • Invoicing and document management experience
  • Knowledge of insurance products, legislative obligations and claim processes
  • Experience in structuring complex insurance programmes and multinational policy requirements
  • PI and Tech experience is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
