We are looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager or Account Executive to service their own portfolios and assist Senior Management.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for the development of new commercial accounts and client relationship management of existing commercial and SME clients. Key accountabilities include growing the business portfolio and providing relationship management and insurance broking services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing and growth of current portfolio of corporate and SME clients.
- Relationship Management of existing corporate clients and SME clients
- Develop and deliver formal insurance program proposals and renewals
- Ensure a consistently high level of service and professionalism.
- Maintaining debtor control.
- Claims management in conjunction with our internal claims manager.
- Liaising with insurers and other interested parties
- Keep informed of industry developments
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and adherence to Insurance Advisernet policies and procedures.
- Development of marketing initiatives.
- Other tasks as directed.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achieve objectives established in the annual business plan and budget
- Excellent problem solving ability and ability to learn new things
- Understanding of Insurance environment and legislation with no compliance breaches logged.
- Customer Service Standards maintained as per client requirements
- Client debtor payments, average days not greater 14 days
- Maintenance of own Continuous Professional Development and compliance with ASIC RG146.
Skills and Experience:
- Sales oriented with the capability of pursing and closing sales of new and existing commercial accounts.
- Ability to meet objectives in a business environment
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lead by example
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Advanced computer skills including Word and Excel
- The ability to be flexible in a rapidly growing organisation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate cooperatively with team members
- 5 years Insurance Industry experience within a broking environment.
- Maintain high standards and professional manner, diplomacy, confidentiality and presentation.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience with ISR classes and Business Interruption will be looked upon favourably
- Experience with PI & Management Liability classes will be looked upon favourably
Educational Requirements:
- Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) – preferred
- Tier 1 – acceptable, but working towards Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).
