We are seeking an extremely motivated insurance professional to join our dynamic General Insurance team.
Dixon Insurance Services Pty Ltd is an award-winning General Insurance Brokerage, specialising in large, hard to place risks. Our specialist areas include Heavy Transport, Manufacturing, Motor Trade, Retail, Engineering, Mining, Management Liability, ISR and Large Farm clients.
With our offices based in Brisbane, Darling Downs, and Sunshine Coast regions we are an established brokerage with dedicated staff. We pride ourselves on delivering a highly responsive, professional, and seamless service to all our clients - regardless of their location.
The Role:
Assisting the Director to service the business’ diverse commercial and domestic clients, by:
- Providing exceptional phone-based customer support
- Dealing with client requests and queries in a professional and timely manner
- Preparing and processing renewals, endorsements, and remarkets
- Respond to new business enquiries
- Negotiating terms with underwriters / Insurers
- Debtor management
Excellent customer service and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a must within this role.
To Be Successful in this Role, you will have
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry, with a focus on commercial insurance is preferable but not essential
- Tier 1 qualification mandatory or Diploma of Insurance Broking, or willingness to obtain Diploma.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
- Strong administration skills including attention to detail, organising, prioritising workload and time management
- Ability to interpret and comprehend Industry documents such as PDS/Policy Wordings
- Excellent computer skills including demonstrated use in Winbeat & Sunrise, with genuine willingness to learn new systems
- A positive, team orientated and ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to work autonomously and contribute positively and collaboratively with colleagues
