We are seeking an extremely motivated insurance professional to join our dynamic General Insurance team. Dixon has several offices in Queensland and all staff are actively involved with all clients, delivering seamless service to our clients, regardless of location.

Our specialist areas include Heavy Transport, Manufacturing, Motor Trade, Retail, Engineering, Mining, Management Liability, ISR and Large Farm clients.

The Role

• A Permanent Full-Time Opportunity, preferrable based in our Brisbane Office but candidates based in Toowoomba and Sunshine Coast should also apply
• We are looking for a Claims Officer with an Insurance background
• You will be managing claims for all offices   

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact for clients with claims
• Lodge and completed the claim process with Underwriter’s systems and Broker systems
• Follow up with client, insurer, assessor, repairer to ensure claims are being processed and finalised in a timely manner
• Report directly to the Director on larger client claims
• Work with team members where required for difficult claims

To Be Successful in this Role, you will require

• 3 years minimum claims experience
• Insurance Qualifications or Diploma
• Exceptional telephone and written communication skills
• The ability to develop and maintain underwriter and client relationships
• The ability to take responsibility, initiative, and complete tasks at a very high standard
• A strong understanding of PDS/Policy Wordings
• Winbeat & Sunrise Skills 
•  A “can do” attitude and experience working in a team environment
