A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a State Manager to join a growing, broad risk-based insurer within the General Insurance division, based in Brisbane’s CBD.

Operationally you will be responsible for the direct management of a two staff as well as having the over arching responsibility for the Queensland office. As well as people and budget management responsibilities you will run a high value book of business across multiple lines with a focus on property.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include –
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction, shaping the client engagement strategy driving retention and growth
  • Manage the day to day running of the QLD office
  • Deliver on growth and retention strategies with an emphasis on stakeholder and brand management to ensure the long-term sustainability of the business
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while focusing on providing risk and insurance solutions using a risk-based and collaborative approach
  • Develop and deliver sales strategies which are in line with the national client growth and retention strategies, ensuring state targets are met
  • Provide ongoing coaching of staff through co-visitation and gap analysis

  

To be considered for this opportunity you should benefit from –
  • Extensive experience working in sales and relationship management within insurance and financial services
  • Extensive experience managing a team of sales and relationship staff
  • Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) or certified to Tier 1
  • Demonstrated experience in setting and delivering to budget
  • Successfully implemented changes to practice, procedure, and business models
  • Proven ability to drive engagement, cultivate motivation and results driven
