David Gibbs

David joined the Insurance Industry in September of 2010 beginning his tenure as a trainee at QBE Insurance, this opportunity afforded him an insight into the Insurance Industry to which he became well acquainted within a short period of time. Throughout his traineeship David received various accolades for demonstrating outstanding business acumen and forward thinking. Following the completion of the 12 month traineeship David was offered a role as an Assistant Underwriter, not long after the commencement of his new role David received a promotion from an assisting role to a Lead Underwriter position allowing him to facilitate his own panel of Brokers. January 2012 saw David take the next step in his career and move from underwriting to join Gibbscorp as an Account Executive, this allowed him the opportunity to service a large portfolio of small to medium enterprise clients coupled with a handful of corporate clients, this combination further enhanced his knowledge of all aspects of the Industry. In December of 2013 after demonstrating the ability to service an array of clients all with distinct and diverse needs David was promoted to the role of Account Manager servicing a select portfolio of large corporate clients, it is in this role that David received a nomination for Young Insurance Broker of the Year 2014, David was identified as one of the top 5 Young Brokers in Western Australia. During his time as an Account Manager David has further expanded his areas of expertise to a global scale, through his regular dealings with international markets such as Lloyds of London and other niche international markets David possesses the ability to facilitate complex hard to place risks with relative ease, this role has also seen David expand his client base beyond Australia with clients based in Asia and Europe.
