How do you describe to others what your business does?

RentBetter is a technology platform enabling landlords to effectively manage their investment properties, accessing the same tools and services as a traditional agent at a fraction of the cost.

We provide the technology and the know-how, while landlords retain complete control of the rental process (and save money while they’re at it!)

What are three things someone should talk to you about regarding your business?

Advertising a rental property and finding tenants.

Managing a rental property without using an agent.

Saving time and money and increasing your level of control using the RentBetter platform.

What changes do you see happening in your industry? How are these a threat or an opportunity?

In most industries over the past 5-10 years, there has been a general trend towards ‘self-serve’ and DIY models as technology improves and enables consumers to cut out extra steps in the value chain and go direct.

The general theme across property management for some time now, has been efficiency, automation and improved processes. As revenue margins in the traditional real estate agent model come under pressure, the cost to serve customers has increased, and ultimately a technology solution is required to provide a step-change in performance and enable agents to meet their customer needs, profitably.

We see both these trends as a huge opportunity for RentBetter in both the B2C and B2B space, as our platform enables less cost, more control through better technology.

Where do you see your business in 5-10 years?

Our goal is to have a percentage of properties in the Australian market managed through the RentBetter platform.

What are three things that could go wrong in your business that keep you up at night?

How can we deliver more value for our customers?
