We’ve listed all the key Insurance, Insurtech and Fintech events, awards and conferences in Australia in 2019 to help you stay up to speed with industry trends and networking. Be sure to add them to your calendar and register.

2019 NIBA NSW Gala Lunch

Date: 12 July
Location: Hyatt Regency Sydney, Sydney
Overview NSW/ACT Broker of the Year Awards will be announced, sponsored by QBE, and Young Professional Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by Vero. The winners will represent NSW/ACT in the national finals, which will be announced at the 2019 NIBA Convention in the Gold Coast this October.

Belinda Neil, a former police detective/homicide investigator and hostage negotiator will be sharing her story on the extraordinary experiences she had working as an undercover operative, heading up an elite anti-terrorist team during the Sydney Olympics, and catching some of the worst criminals in NSW.

Australian Insurance Industry Awards

Date 22 August
Location The Star, Pyrmont, Sydney
Overview This event celebrates all sectors of insurance for a celebration of excellence, professionalism and community and is co-hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and the Asia Insurance Review. Attended by more than 800 of the industry’s top professionals, the Awards recognise the finalists and winners of 17 categories, including individuals and companies spanning the breadth of Australian insurance.

APIG National Conference and Gala Dinner

Date 12 September
Location The Sheraton, Sydney
Overview Incorporated as an association in 1995, the purpose of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group Inc. is to provide educational and networking opportunities for insurance professionals and others involved in the professional and financial risks insurance market in Australia. This popular full-day event is designed to bring together key industry participants to educate, debate, network and explore new ideas and emerging risks.

MMIF Christmas Luncheon

ALUCA End of Year Event (WA)

AICLA Awards Gala (Vic)

Overview The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters annual event will acknowledge the Victorian Loss Adjuster of the Year, Trainee Loss Adjuster of the Year, Claims Support Person of the Year, Builder of the Year and Service Provider of the Year.
